Applying for a US B1/B2 visa from the UAE is a step-by-step process involving form completion, scheduling your US visa appointment in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, and preparing for the interview. Whether you are a UAE resident or a visitor, this guide covers visa requirements, DS-160 tips, appointment wait times, and renewal information.

Step 1. Check Your Eligibility

Both UAE residents and non-residents can apply for a US visa in the UAE, as long as you are physically present in the country. However, non-residents should be prepared to show strong ties to their country of permanent residence.

  • Non-residents should be ready to show strong ties to their country of permanent residence.

  • Use the official US State Department tool to confirm your visa type: here.

Step 2. Complete the DS-160 form

The US travel visa application online starts with the DS-160 form.

We can complete the DS-160 on your behalf, ensuring accuracy. You’ll receive the confirmation page, ready for your US visa interview appointment.

Step 3. Schedule Your US Visa Appointment in Dubai or Abu Dhabi

Most applicants aged 14 - 79 must attend an interview.

Effective September 2, 2025, the Department of State will update the categories of applicants eligible for a waiver of the nonimmigrant visa interview. All nonimmigrant visa applicants—including those under 14 and over 79—will generally require an in-person interview with a consular officer, unless exempted.

Step 4. Pay the Visa Fee & Gather Required Documents

  • Fee: $185 USD

  • Valid passport (6+ months beyond stay)

  • DS-160 confirmation page

  • Compliant photo

You may need extra evidence - like proof of ties to the UAE or your travel plans.

We assist with document preparation to ensure your application meets all US visitor visa requirements.

Step 5. Attend Your Interview

Meet the consular officer.

Some applications need administrative processing after the interview.
